Before the meeting: prepare the information

Identify the decisions the team needs to make and gather the relevant records. Administrators, counselors, attendance designees, and behavior leads may each hold part of the context. Share records only through school-approved processes with staff who are authorized to access them.

  • Confirm the intervention, goal, responsible staff member, and previous review decision.
  • Review dated progress entries and note gaps in the information.
  • Bring relevant attendance or behavior context, rather than an isolated count.
  • Identify questions that need the team's judgment.

During the meeting: separate evidence from assumptions

Review the plan and the progress together. Consider what support was actually delivered, what the available information shows, and what additional context is needed. A fictional example: a team reviewing a reading intervention considers progress entries alongside missed sessions before deciding whether to adjust the plan.

  • State the concern and the question the team is reviewing.
  • Summarize the evidence and acknowledge missing information.
  • Record the team's decision and its reason.
  • Assign a next action, a responsible person, and a review date.

After the meeting: make the follow-through clear

A useful meeting record should let an authorized colleague understand what changed and what happens next. MTSS360's intervention records, progress monitoring, and student progress reports can support preparation and follow-up. The checklist here is a planning aid, not a claim that the platform automatically records every meeting action.

  • Update the relevant intervention record to reflect the agreed plan.
  • Confirm who will carry out each next step.
  • Continue documenting progress using the agreed measure.
  • Review follow-through at the next scheduled check-in.

MTSS meeting. Five minutes. Four spreadsheets.

As an administrator, I need to know: are our students getting support, and is it working?

As a counselor, I need to know what's already been tried, and who's following up.

For attendance, I'm connecting absences, outreach, and next steps. The information is in three different places.

For behavior, I need more than an incident count. I need the plan, and the progress.

Your team is doing the work. Your system should help connect it.

MTSS360 brings intervention plans, progress monitoring, attendance, and behavior tracking into one platform, so your team can review the information and coordinate what happens next.

Less time piecing together updates. More time deciding how to support students.
